A carved wood of a swift horse.
Since this year is the Horse year of the 12 Zodiac animals, Japanese wood carving artist Maki Yoshihiko designed this woodcraft for a good year of 2014.
Materail: Camphor wood.
Camphor wood is usually be used to make Buddha statues and cases in Asian countries.
The Camphor wood has a soft scent, and it is a excellent material for long time preservation.

Name: Maki Yoshihiko (牧 芳彦)
Born: 1980, in Aichi-ken, Japan
Graduated: 1999, Kira high school, then studied under sculptor Yoshimoto.
Finished the apprenticeship in 2007, now working as an independent sculptor.
